Konami Digital Entertainment will release Breakers of Shadow, a new booster set for the Yu-Gi-Oh! trading card game in January.  As an added incentive for collectors, this booster set will have at least one foil card included in every booster pack.

The Breakers of Shadow booster set features the return of Buster Blader, now in the form of “Buster Blader, the Destruction Swordmaster,” along with a number of support cards designed to aid that popular monster.  New deck themes are also included, with the Samurai spirit warriors of the Shiranui, the quick and numerous Twilight Ninjas, and steam-powered dinosaurs of the Dinomists.  Existing themes are also supported with new cards and more than a dozen Extra Deck monsters.  Many of the cards included in the set are designed to work well with the recently-released Master of Pendulum Structure Deck.

The complete Breakers of Shadow booster set will include 100 cards, with 48 Commons, 20 Rares, 14 Super Rares, 10 Ultra Rares, and 8 Secret Rares. Not only will there be a foil card in every 9-card pack (either a Super, Ultra, or Secret Rare), Konami is increasing the insertion rates of Ultra Rares and Secret Rares. Each pack will include 1 foil card, 1 Rare card, and 7 Common cards.

Konami will players a sneak peak of the Breakers of Shadow set by including preview cards from this set in December’s Clash of Rebellions Special Edition pack (see “‘Yu-Gi-Oh!:  Clash of Rebellions Special Edition’”).
