Humble Bundle and the Comic Book Legal Defense Fund have partnered to create the Forbidden Comics Supporting Banned Books Week bundle for the digital platform. The bundle features content that has been challenged and in some cases banned, from authors including Alan Moore, Scott Snyder, Jeff Smith, Jeff Lemire, Wendy Pini, Garth Ennis, Cory Doctorow, Jock, Kevin O’Neill, and the Hernandez Brothers.

Customers who purchase this bundle can name their own price, and can choose how the money is allocated. Customers can pay any amount to receive Maggie the Mechanic (Love & Rockets), The Frank Book, League of Extraordinary Gentlemen Vol. 3, CBLDF Presents: Liberty, Madame Paul Affair, and Bone Vol. 1.

Users who pay above the average price for the Bundle (currently $11.75) will also receive The Little Man, The Boys: Herogasm, Heartbreak Soup (Love & Rockets), SideScrollers, Barefoot Gen Vol 1: A Cartoon Story of Hiroshima, Essex County, and Elfquest: The Final Quest Vol. 1. Additional content for this level will be revealed mid-promotion, on September 30.

Customers who pay $15 or more will receive all of the above plus Leah Hayes Not Funny Haha, Scott Snyder and Jock’s Wytches Vol. 1, and an audiobook copy of Cory Doctorow’s Information Doesn’t Want To Be Free which features a foreword by Neil Gaiman and Amanda Palmer, and is read by Wil Wheaton.

The Forbidden Comics Supporting Banned Books Week Comics Bundle (linked here in hopes that readers will be generous to the CBLDF) will be available from now until Wednesday October 7, at 11 AM PT.

Banned Books Week 2015 runs from September 27 - October 3. This year’s theme focuses on young adult titles, including comics (see “CBLDF Offers Banned Books Week Resources”).
