DC Entertainment has announced three new graphic novel/ home entertainment set releases for 2016, as well as shared images for the DC Comics Book & DVD/Blue-Ray Slipcase Set which includes the first six releases.

DC launched the DVD/Blue-Ray and graphic novel combo sets in August. Each direct-to-video animated feature is paired with the graphic novel that inspired it. ICv2 interviewed DC co-publishers Jim Lee and Dan Didio at Comic-Con where they discussed the first releases (see “ICv2 Interview: Jim Lee and Dan Didio, Part 1”).  

The six titles included in the slipcase edition are:

  • Batman: Black and White + Batman: Gotham Knight
  • Batman: Year One
  • The Death of Superman + Superman: Doomsday
  • Wonder Woman: Gods and Mortals
  • JLA Earth 2 + Justice League: Crisis on Two Earths
  • Justice League Origin + Justice League: War

The set releases on November 3.

Now DC will expand the program in 2016 to include Batman: The Dark Knight Returns, Superman/Batman: Public Enemies, Justice League + Justice League: Throne of Atlantis
