The game casts players in the role of members of a top- secret U.S. government program that combats cosmic and otherworldly terrors (based on the works of H.P Lovecraft and other Cthulhu Mythos authors). Agents investigate otherworldly happenings, combat them, and try to save innocent people from being exposed to the horrific madness knowledge of these things entails. The first product planned is the full-color, hardcover Agent’s Handbook, with trade release planned for August 2016.
Delta Green was originally part of a scenario for Chaosium’s Call of Cthulhu horror roleplaying game in 1992, created by Dennis Detwiller, Adam Scott Glancy, and John Scott Tynes. The popularity of the scenario led to the creation of a Delta Green sourcebook for the game in 1997, published by Pagan Publishing, which won the Origins Award for Best Roleplaying Game Supplement.
