Drawn & Quarterly has announced its Spring 2016 schedule which includes titles by Chester Brown, Lisa Hanawalt, Julie Doucet, Keith Jones and more.

At San Diego Comic-Con, D&Q shared several upcoming titles, including Chester Brown’s Mary Wept Over the Feet of Jesus, (see “New Titles From Shigeru Mizuki, Chester Brown, Lynda Barry, More”).  The 280-page, black and white hardcover will release on April 12. MSRP is $24.95.

Julie Doucet’s Carpet Sweeper Tales is a mix of collage, prints and other ephemera. Most of the images are taken from 1970s Italian photonovels, repurposed to make collage comics with unique dialogue. The 184-page, black and white paperback will release on March 29. MSRP is $15.95.

Keith Jones’ Secret Times is a pop culture parable set in a world where the rich grind the poor and unfortunate into paste, amid a brightly colored graffiti-filled backdrop. The 88-page full-color paperback releases on May 3. MSRP is $19.95.

Lisa Hanawalt is responsible for the artistic look for the Netflix animated series BoJack Horseman.  Her new graphic novel, Hot Dog Taste Test, dives headfirst into the foodie subculture, through a series of comics and art, and screwball lists. The 160-page full color hardcover will release on June 14. MSRP is $22.95.

Kitaro Meets Nurarihyon is a new Kitaro volume by Shigeru Mizuki, translated by Zack Davisson. This second set of adventures of the bizarre yokai boy and his gaggle of otherworldly friends includes seven all-ages horror-comedy tales. The 176-page black and white paperback releases on July 19. MSRP is $12.95

D&Q also recently announced plans to release Ben Katchor’s Cheap Novelties: The Pleasure of Urban Decay with Julius Knipl, Real Estate Photographer in Fall 2016 (see “ D&Q gets 'Cheap Novelties'”).
