Wizards of the Coast is planning to publish an expanded edition of the popular Psionics Handbook for its flagship Dungeons & Dragons role-playing game.  The new volume, which is slated for an April 2004 publication, will present a more balanced psionics system, which should make it much easier for Dungeon Masters who are using psionics for the first time.  The new expanded volume will include the results of more than two years of player feedback concerning the use of psionics -- the art of bending nature's laws to one's own will by moving objects, teleporting, and manipulating the actions of others.  The original Psionics Handbook covered the same topics, but the expanded version will incorporate changes suggested by players, feature a higher page count, and compelling new cover art.

The author of the Expanded Psionics Handbook is Bruce R. Cordell, who has written over a dozen volumes for WotC including the Epic Level Handbook, Underdark (a Forgotten Realms accessory due out in October), and the forthcoming D&D Miniatures Handbook (also October, see 'D&D Miniatures Plans Revealed').
