The film shares the origin story of the first encounters between humans and the orcs, including such notable characters as Durotan and Anduin Lothar, long before the epic conflicts of the popular World of Warcraft MMORPG. The film stars Travis Fimmel, Paula Patton, Ben Foster, Dominic Cooper, Anna Galvin, Ruth Negga, and Toby Kebbell.
