Appearing today in Boston’s Stuffolk Superior Court, both James Stumbo,27, and Kevin Norton, 18, pleaded not guilty, the Boston Globe reported. The men face multiple firearms charges, and have been held without bail since September 1 (see “'Pokemon' Pair Denied Bail”). Today, the judge ordered them held on $150,000 bail.
Prosecutors allege that the pair posted online messages threatening violence at the competition, and are alleged to have arrived at the competition with multiple firearms in the trunk of the vehicle they drove to the Boston competition. According to the prosecutors, neither man is licensed to carry a firearm in either Massachusetts or Iowa.
Norton and Stumbo will return to court on November 19.
