The Free Comic Book Day offering, which is also Valiant’s first Gold-level FCBD release, will tie in to the ongoing RAI series, and features exclusive content from March’s A&A: The Adventures of Archer & Armstrong #1 (see “ Preview: 'A&A: The Adventures of Archer & Armstrong' #1”) and April’s Divinity II #1.
The main series will be the four-issue 4001 A.D., penned by Matt Kindt (Ninjak, Divinity, Mind MGMT), and drawn by Clayton Crain (RAI, X-Force). The fist issue releases in May.
The RAI ongoing title will tie-in to the event, and there will be a series of one-shots spotlighting different 4001 A.D. characters, including the debut of future incarnations of some of Valiant’s most well-known characters. The story will see the heroes uniting on Earth to help RAI overthrow Father, the Tyrannical A.I. that governs New Japan.
Valiant has designed the series and its tie-ins as a jumping on point into the Valiant Universe for new readers.
