The Comic Book Legal Defense Fund (CBLDF) has shared a list of 10 comics and graphic novels it helped defend from censorship challenges in 2015.

According to CBLDF, there were more censorship attacks in 2015 than at any other time this century. The CBLDF provided expert support, tools and resources to librarians and teachers to help fight attempted bans on graphic literature and comics.

The list includes:

  1. Fun Home by Alison Bechdel
  2. Persepolis by Marjane Satrapi
  3. Y: The Last Man Vol. 1 by Brian K. Vaughan and Pia Guerra
  4. The Sandman Vol 2: The Doll’s House by Neil Gaiman and various artists
  5. Palomar by Gilbert Hernandez
  6. Amityville: Jr. Graphic Ghost Stories by John Perritano
  7. The Graveyard Book by Neil Gaiman and P. Craig Russell
  8. Drama by Raina Telgemeier
  9. This One Summer by Jillian Tamaki and Mariko Tamaki
  10. The Diary of a Teenage Girl by Phoebe Gloeckner
