Written by Brubaker and illustrated by Phillips and Elizabeth Breitweiser, the new novella-length story will follow Teeg and Tracy Lawless in a twisted ‘70s tale of a father and son on the run. The release will also feature a comic-within-the-comic: a ‘70s-era Kung Fu magazine following the adventures of a werewolf named Fang. The 64-page comic will also include articles, illustrations, and behind-the-scenes extras about the series. A special magazine-size “Deadly Ed” variant illustrated by Phillips will also be available.

Criminal launched in 2006 from Marvel’s ICON imprint (see “Brubaker's 'Criminal'”), and won the 2007 Eisner Awards for Best new Series and Best Writer (see “DC Dominates Eisners”).
