Carl Burgos and Tove Jansson have been chosen by this year’s Eisner Award judges to join the Eisner Awards Hall of Fame.  The judges also nominated 14 other individuals for the Hall, four of whom will be chosen, based on the votes of industry professionals.  The quartet of new Hall of Fame inductees will be announced at the San Diego Comic-Con during an awards ceremony on July 22.

The individuals nominated for this key honor this year include (in alphabetical order): Lynda Barry, Kim Deitch, Rube Goldberg, Edward Gorey, Bill Griffith, Matt Groening, Jack Kamen, Francoise Mouly, George Perez, Antonio Prohias, P. Craig Russell, Rumiko Takahashi, Jacques Tardi, and Herb Trimpe.

The deadline for voting for industry professionals is April 1, 2016.
