Image Expo, the one day publisher event hosted by Image Comics, is moving to Seattle and will be held in conjunction with Emerald City Comic Con in partnership with show organizer ReedPOP, the companies announced.  Announced guests include Leila del Duca, Joe Harris, Rick Remender, Alison Sampson, and Jonathan Hickman, plus others to be announced and “special surprise guests.”  Image typically uses the opportunity to announce and preview upcoming projects.

Image Expo was first held in Oakland in February of 2012, with Amazing Comic Conventions, organizer of the Amazing Arizona Comic Con, assisting with the event (see “Image Expo in February”).  Over the last several years, the event has settled into a pattern of two events a year, one in San Francisco in January, and the second in July, most recently also in San Francisco. 

Prices are going up, with general admission at the Seattle event $25 ($20 at the January 2015 event), and Premium admission $75 ($50) last year.  An after party is also being held, with a $15 admission fee. Retailers are admitted free.
