Arcane Wonders announced designer Mike Ellott’s latest game Speechless is the newest title to join its Dice Tower Essentials board game line.

Elliott (Thunderstone, Quarriors, Shadowrun: Crossfire, Marvel Dice Masters: Avengers vs X-Men, Duel Masters) is a prolific designer, though this party game seems a bit of a departure from his strategy-based fare. Players take turns being the “presenter.” The presenter acts out 6 words, trying to get the other players to correctly guess what word they are miming without speaking. They have 90 seconds to get through the 6 words, with players scoring points for every correct guess they mark on their dry erase board. Conversely, if no one guesses the word, then receive one point for having the same mistaken answer as another player. Players are also not allowed to talk during the 90-second play rounds.

There are three different deck colors for varying degrees of difficulty for play: easy cards are green, medium cards are yellow, and hard cards are red.

Speechless will be released later this year. MSRP was not announced.

Other games in the Dice Tower essentials line include the Origins Award winning Sheriff of Nottingham  (see “'Sheriff of Nottingham' Game“), Onitama (see “New Game Joins Arcane Wonders' 'Dice Tower Essentials' Line”) and Royals (see “Ascend to Aristocratic Eminence in 'Royals'”).
