Toy Fair News:  At New York Toy Fair, Diamond Select Toys was showing off their upcoming releases. ICv2 spoke with Zach Oat to learn more about the DC releases. (In Part 1 we focused on Marvel and other licensed properties (see "Preview: Diamond Select Toys- Part 1").)

There were several new PVC statues and busts for Batman: The Animated Series on display, including Harley Quinn, Man-Bat and Carrie Kelly Robin from the Dark Knight episode.  "For the busts, that Man Bat, the busts have never been displayed before and neither has the Carrie Kelly Robin," said Oat.  "That was an imaginary stories episode in Batman: The Animated Series where it was very much based on Frank Miller’s The Dark Knight Returns. And those are all fall-winter releases."

There was also a life-sized vinyl bust of Shakespeare from Batman the classic TV series.  "When you open up his head there’s a slot for coins and also the knob and the button are in there," said Oat.

There was also a Superman PVC statue from the Justice League animated series, and Aquaman and Hawkgirl busts.  "Superman is a new PVC statue for us, 9", coming in the fall," said Oat.  "(T)he Hawkgirl bust we’re just showing for the first time, that’s going to be the end of the year."

There were are some new Minimates and action figures from Gotham on display, with Series 2 of the Minimates shipping later this month.
