Bezier Games will premier Colony, a strategy game by Ted Alspach (Suburbia, Castles of Mad King Ludwig), Toryo Hojo, and Yoshihisa Nakatsu, at the Spiel fair in Essen, Germany this October, with release into the trade following the convention.

In Colony, the players are the administrators of off-world colonies, competing to grow and expand their holdings.  The game uses dice to represent resources, with different values indicating different types.  Players must collect and manage these resources to construct buildings, which true to the genre offer combinations of special abilities and victory points.  Resources must be used with care, however, as some can be stored but others expire each turn.

MSRP is $59.95.

The release of Colony will follow Bezier’s release of another Alspach design, the trivia game America (see “Alspach and Friese Create ‘America’ Party Game”).
