Valiant Comics has announced that the 4-issue Bloodshot Island story arc by Jeff Lemire and Mico Suayan will introduce a brand new character, Deathmate, a mysterious and deadly female, whose origin story and purpose are at the heart of the drama in the Bloodshot Island (see “Preview—Valiant Teases 5 2016 Releases”), the four-part saga that debuts in Bloodshot #14 ($3.99, 32 pages), which will ship to retail in June with at least 8 variant covers (see the Gallery below).

Stranded on a mysterious island and surrounded by decommissioned (and destroyed) relics of the same project that created him, Bloodshot soon finds he is being stalked by a mysterious force that is more sinister and powerful than any that he has faced before.
