Submissions for the awards are being accepted through March 28, and eight students will receive scholarship grants. The first place winner will get a $10,000 award, and there will be a $5,000 award for second place, and $2,500 for third. In addition there will be 5 “Best of Borough” Awards, one each for the Bronx, Brooklyn, Manhattan, Queens, and Staten Island.

The Penguin Random House Foundation announced a “Graphic Novels Now!” Scholarship Program for New York City Public High School Seniors with the dual purpose of helping aspiring creators get their work published and also earn scholarship money for college.
