Warner Bros. and DC Entertainment have chosen Jason Fuchs to write Lobo, according to The Wrap.
Lobo marks the second DC universe project for Fuchs. Reportedly his take on the interstellar bounty hunter is starting from scratch with the character, and not building on work from previous screenwriters. Fuchs is also currently writing Luna Park, a sci-fi vehicle for Tom Cruise and Doug Liman, who recently came together for the critically successful Edge of Tomorrow (see "DVD Round-Up: 'Adventure Time,' 'Edge of Tomorrow,' 'The Wonder Years,' & New 'DBZ'").
One early version of Lobo crashed and burned, placed on indefinite hiatus in 2009. In 2012, it was revived, joining together Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson with director Brad Peyton (San Andreas). This incarnation was written by Don Payne (Thor 2), but ended up being dropped in 2014 after Johnson was cast in another DC Comics movie as Black Adam.
Fuchs' script for Wonder Woman is currently being filmed (see "'Wonder Woman' Production Underway").
