Summon Entertainment Corp has announced two expansion sets for its fantasy-themed board game Epic Roll: Hand of Fate is scheduled for the third quarter, while Eclipse is planned for Summer 2017.
Designed by Jon and Matt Nord, Epic Roll was released in 2015 as Summon Entertainment’s first release. In the game, two or three players race against each other in their quest to destroy the evil Lich, fighting monsters and gathering treasure along the way. Small and portable (the box is only 6 x 6 inches), the game plays in about 20 minutes.
Epic Roll: Hand of Fate will be the first expansion set released for the game. The expansion will add new components and new game mechanics to the core game, providing players with more ways to counter their opponent’s strategies. The component list has not been finalized. MSRP has been tentatively set at $8.99.Next year, Summon Entertainment plans to release a second expansion, Epic Roll: Eclipse. This will be a larger expansion set, that can either be used as a stand-alone version of the game, or combined with the earlier base set and expansion for even larger adventures. This set will include new characters, powers, and enemies for the players to face. Components and MSRP have not been announced.
