Nashville-based Southern Hobby Supply has inked a deal with Finnish game company Playmore Games granting Southern Hobby exclusive distribution rights for Playmore’s game Race to the North Pole in the U.S.

The game, introduced at Essen last year, uses a rotating board mechanic to simulate the unexpected Arctic weather. An optional app can be used to randomize events further.  For 2-4 players, ages 7+; the game plays in about 45 minutes.

“We first met Tomi [Vainikka] and Jouni [Jussila] at Essen 2015 where they showed off this great design,” Southern Hobby President Chris Austin said of the new deal.  “Race to the North Pole is a game apart that excels at merging fun, strategic play with just the right amount of unpredictability.”
