Marvel has announced Deadpool and his merry band of mercenaries will get their own ongoing series in July.

The current five-issue miniseries (see “Deadpool Gets New Mercenary Miniseries”) will wrap up in early June. Miniseries writer Cullen Bunn will return to pen the ongoing title, and will be joined by Iban Coello on art. A variant cover for issue #1 will be done by Giuseppe Camuncoli.

“The fans have spoken and we’re sending these mercs on another mission,” Marvel SVP Sales & Marketing David Gabriel said. “Response to the Marvel Universe’s newest misfit super team has been huge and we’re excited to have Cullen back to pen their ongoing exploits this July.”
