Rock star Elvis Presley’s life will be put under a new biographical lens by the French team of Philippe Chanoinat and Fabrice Le Henanff. NBM Graphic Novels Publishing will release the biography in October.
Elvis will be written by Chanoinat (author of graphic novel adaptations of The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes and Oliver Twist) and illustrated by Le Henanff’s (Ostfront, Westfront, Modigliani) photo-quality paintings. The story will begin with “The King’s” humble beginnings in Mississippi, detailing his meteoric rise to stardom after cutting his first single in Sun Studios in 1954. The book will detail his military service, his time as a Hollywood film star, his complicated personal life, and his days as a Vegas icon.
The 88-page, 8.5” x 11” full-color hardcover has an MSRP of $19.99.
