Disney has acquired film rights to Delilah Dirk and the Turkish Lieutenant, the first graphic novel by Tony Cliff, according to Deadline.  Cliff’s comics, nominated for Eisners as both a self-published comic (see “Eisner Awards Share the Wealth”) and a webcomic (see “The 2012 Eisner Award Nominees”), have been collected by First Second into two volumes to date, the first of which made Publisher’s Weekly’s best list in 2013 (see “PW’s Top Graphic Novels of the Year”).

The property, an adventure set in the 19th century, is being developed as a live action feature.
