Titan Comics announced the September 14, 2016 debut of Dark Souls: Legends of the Flame #1, a new comics anthology based on the popular Dark Souls third person action role-playing video game from Bandai Namco Entertainment.

Titan’s first Dark Souls anthology (Dark Souls # 1—see “Titan Plans Dark Souls Comic Series”) sold out issue #1 on its first day and is currently on its third printing—and the Dark Souls game itself is considered one of the better video games ever created.  The first installment of the Dark Souls game, which came out in 2013 sold more than 2.37 million copies, while Dark Souls III, which was released in April, is now the fastest selling game in franchise history.  Overall the franchise is white hot with a Dark Souls Board Game Kickstarter bringing in a cool $5.5 million (see “Top Ten Tabletop Kickstarters”).
