Comic-Con News: At the San Diego Comic-Con IDW Publishing and DC Entertainment announced a reprise of two of last year’s intercompany crossovers, one between Batman and the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and the other matching DC’s cosmic hero Green Lantern with the crew of IDW’s Star Trek comics.  Like last year’s Batman/TMNT crossover (see “Batman/TMNT Crossover”), this year’s edition, which features the classic animated iteration of the Dark Knight from Bruce Timm’s Batman: The Animated Series, will debut in November, while the Green Lantern/Star Trek crossover is slated for a “winter 2016 launch.”

The new Batman/TMNT crossover will be based on the animated versions of both franchises, the current Nickelodeon version of the Turtles and the classic 1992-1995 Batman: The Animated Series developed by Bruce Timm and Eric Randomski.  Mathew K. Manning (Beware the Batman) will write the crossover and Jon Somariva (TMNT Amazing Adventures) will provide the art.

The Star Trek/Green Lantern crossover will be a true sequel (see “Epic Intergalactic Star Trek Green Lantern Crossover” for details on the original series that debuted last July) with the creative team of Mike Johnson and Angel Hernandez reteaming for a second space opera crossover adventure that picks up right where last year’s saga ended.
