Marvel Comics is planning launch parties for the debut of Champions #1, which is debuting this October, and which the House of Ideas referred to as “the flagship title of Marvel NOW.”  Written by Eisner Award winner Mark Waid and drawn by Hubert Ramos, Champions #1, which hits retail on October 5, introduces six teen heroes including Ms. Marvel, Miles Morales, Nova, Cyclops, Viv Vision, and the Totally Awesome Hulk, who refuse to adhere to the antiquated ways of yore.

Retailers have until September fifth to opt-in for the Champions Party Kit.  Those who qualify will receive lots of Champions #1 items include invitational postcards, Skottie Young Champions Lithographs, Jay Fosgit Gwenpool Party Sketch Variant, Champions #1 pins, and Champions #1 Action Figure Standees (a second sheet including the other 3 team members will be available with issue #2).  In addition qualifying retailers will be able to order a number variant covers to Champions #1 including the Gwenpool Party Sketch Variant.   Check out some of the variants and the party gear in the Gallery below.
