Gale Force Nine has announced two player expansions for Star Trek Ascendancy (see “Prepare for Interstellar Conflict in 'Star Trek: Ascendancy'”), each introducing a new race to the galactic strategy board game.

The Cardassian Union is the first in the series of player expansions, which add a new civilization and another player to the game. The Cardassians tend to brutalize rivals and dominate worlds with an iron grip. The expansion adds new Star Systems, new Exploration cards and all the components need to add another player to the game. MSRP is $34.99. Release is planned for fall.

The Ferengi Alliance adds this profit-seeking civilization to the game. The Ferengi are a dominate force in the galaxy, using a combination of financial acumen and military might to build an unstoppable civilization. The expansion adds new Star Systems, new Exploration cards and all the components need to add another player to the game. MSRP is $34.99. Release is planned for fall.
