Ninja Division and its partner company Backspindle Games will release the strategy puzzle game Codinca in September.

In Codinca, the players are the discoverers of an Incan city long lost to the jungle and now must attempt to find a way to open its mysterious temple.  To succeed, the players must change the grid of 16 double-sided tiles showing Incan symbols for the elements to match the patterns on their four key cards.  Meanwhile, “spirit cards” can be used to manipulate the pattern and undermine the efforts of their opponents.  Designed for quick play, Codinca combines elements of strategy games and puzzle games

The game comes with 16 tiles with Incan symbols, 24 key cards, and 20 spirit cards packaged in a magnetic-closure box.  Codinca is designed for 2 to 4 players, ages 8 and up, and plays in under half an hour.  MSRP is $19.95.

Ninja Division and Backspindle cooperated earlier this year on the Mexican wrestling game Luchador! (see “Mexican Wrestling and Kaiju Action in March”) and for Clacks, based on the works of Terry Pratchett (see “Two New ‘Discworld’ Games in January”).
