In November, Steve Jackson Games will release a new version of its stand-alone Discworld Roleplaying Game.

Based on the rules from GURPS Fourth Edition, the Discworld Roleplaying Game is a self-contained stand-alone roleplaying game based on the works of Sir Terry Pratchett.  The book, penned by veteran RPG writer Phil Masters, presents the unique setting of Pratchett’s Discworld as well as tips for gamemasters looking to create a Pratchett-style campaign.

This new version of Discworld includes all of the material previously published in the earlier edition and its supplemental sourcebook Discworld Also.  It also features new material drawn from the Discworld novels that were published more recently than the previous edition.

The Discworld Roleplaying Game is a 408-page hardcover book.  As a stand-alone game, it does not require any other GURPS books to use, though it is compatible with other GURPS Fourth Edition sourcebooks.  MSRP is $39.95.

The revised edition was due out last year (see “Sales Down in 2015 at Steve Jackson”). Ninja Division (see “Two New 'Discworld' Games in January”) and Mayfair Games (see “'The Witches'--A 'Discworld' Game”) have board games based on Pratchett's popular fantasy setting.
