The pilot began streaming on Amazon Prime on August 19 (see “Amazon Unveils More Images From Live-Action 'Tick'”). The series will premiere in 2017. Amazon Studios also picked up two other comedy pilots: I Love Dick and Jean-Claude Van Johnson.

The series is written and executive produced by Ben Edlund, creator of The Tick comics.

The series description reads: In a world where superheroes have been real for decades, an underdog accountant with zero powers comes to realize his city is owned by a global super villain long-thought dead. As he struggles to uncover this conspiracy, he falls in league with a strange blue superhero.
