New York Comic Con News: At the Wonder Woman 75th Anniversary Panel at the NYCC, DC announced an all-new Digital First series Baman '66 Meets Wonder Woman '77. Jeff Parker, a veteran of Batman '66 is co-writing the new series with Wonder Woman '77 writer Marc Andreyko in this action-packed miniseries that is based on the 1960s Batman TV series that starred Adam West and Burt Ward and the 1970s Wonder Woman show that featured Lynda Carter.
The 12-chapter Batman 66 Meets Wonder Woman series will launch on November 23 with new chapters releasing every other week. David Hahn and Karl Kesel will provide the art with Mike Allred doing covers (the first issue also has an Alex Ross variant). Each chapter will cost 99 cents. The 12-chapter digital comic will be released as six individual print comics ($3.99 each) with the first issue debuting in January, six-eight weeks after the digital version is released in November.
This is hardly the first “digital first” crossover from DC involving Batman 66, who tangled with the Green Hornet (see "'Batman '66 Meets the Green Hornet'" and the BBC’s 1960s Avengers "'Batman '66 Meets Steed & Mrs. Peel'").
