Twentieth Century Fox has released a new trailer for the Assassin’s Creed movie based on the Ubisoft video game series.

Unlike the previous trailer (see “First 'Assassin's Creed' Trailer”), which focused on Callum Lynch’s (Michael Fassbender) ancestor Aguilar in 15th Century Spain, this one focuses more on the present day, and the people and technology which bring him in contact with his genetic memories. The film also stars Marion Cotillard, Jeremy Irons, Brendan Gleeson and Michael K. Williams.

The film releases in theaters on December 21.

Titan Comics, which holds the license for Assassin’s Creed comics, will be launching a manga miniseries in November (see “'Assassin's Creed' Manga, 'Hookjaw,' 'The Mummy'”).
