Stine led with “I'm R.L. Stine and it's my job to terrify kids. Ask me anything!” and among questions about his popular Goosebumps series and whether Stine is afraid of the dark, one fan asked Stine if he had ever considered writing comic books. Stine replied that he was writing his first comics ever for Marvel, “But I'm not allowed to talk about them yet.”

Stine has more than 400 million books in print worldwide, making him one of the most popular children’s authors of all time. He began writing horror for teens in the mid 1980s, and he is best known for his children’s horror series Goosebumps, which launched in 1992.The Goosebumps franchise alone has produced close to 200 books. Stine has other popular series to his name as well: Fear Street (more than 150 books in the franchise), The Nightmare Room (15 volumes), and Rotten School (16 volumes).
