Just a week ago, Valiant released its first teaser for a new X-O Manowar ongoing series (see “Valiant Teases New X-O Manowar Series”), and now its  has shared  the details on the creative teams and plot.

New York Times-bestselling author Matt Kindt (Divinity, Ninjak, Mind MGMT) will be writing the new ongoing series with a cast of artists, including Tomas Giorello (4001 A.D., Bloodshot Reborn), Doug Braithwaite (Armor Hunters, Bloodshot U.S.A.), Clayton Crain (Rai, Carnage), Ryan Bodenheim (The Dying & The Dead), and Mico Suayan (Bloodshot Reborn). The first issue is set to debut on March 22.

In the first three-issue arc of the new ongoing, entitled “Soldier,” Aric of Dacia will find himself torn from his peaceful existence and forced to take up the X-O Manowar armor once again in an interplanetary battle. His battles - and standing in the universe - will grow exponentially as the series proceeds.

X-O Manowar #11: "Visigoth," written by Matt Kindt with art by Mico Suayan - January 2018

X-O Manowar debuted in 1992, created by Jim Shooter and Bob Layton. The most recent series ran 56 issues and ended in September, with 2017 marking the 25th Anniversary of the character.
