Konami Digital Entertainment will release the new Maximum Crisis booster for the Yu-Gi-Oh! trading card game on May 5.

Yu-Gi-Oh! Maximum Crisis is the climax of the 2016 -2017 Dueling season, and the 100-card booster set will introduce three new themes as well as several new cards for popular Decks (Fusion Enforcers, Raging Tempest, the Pendulum Domination Structure Deck, Invasion: Vengeance, The Dark Illusion, Shining Victories, Wing Raiders, the Master of Pendulum Structure Deck, and High-Speed Riders).

Pendulum Summoning will undergo its final evolution in this booster, with a pair of Pendulum Monsters with Scales of 0 and 13, allowing the duelist to Pendulum Summon monsters of any level in any Deck. Building on the release of Fusion Enforcers (see “'Yu-Gi-Oh! Fusion Enforcers' Revealed”), Maximum Crisis introduces a new Fusion Summoning Spell Card that lets duelists keep their Fusion Monster while giving back the monsters they fused together.

The set will also include the new “True Draco” monsters, which can be tribute Summoned using Continuous Spell/Trap Cards instead of monsters, and those Continuous Spell/Trap Cards have multiple effects depending on if the duelist actives them or Tributes them. A new way to win a Duel is introduced, where even if a duelist can’t damage their opponent with the new theme’s monster, they can power it up enough to destroy 3 monsters, which automatically ends the Duel.

The 100-card set includes 48 Commons, 20 Rares, 14 Super Rares, 10 Ultra Rares, and 8 Secret Rares. Each pack contains 9 cards, and there are 24 packs per display.

The Yu-Gi-Oh! movie: Yu-Gi-Oh! The Dark Side of Dimensions, will debut next weekend in U.S. theaters (see “New Trailer for 'Yu-Gi-Oh! The Dark Side of Dimensions'”).
