Javier Fernandez, Jorge Jimenez, and Alvaro Martinez have agreed to illustrate comic books exclusively for the DC and Vertigo imprints of DC Entertainment.

Fernandez is currently illustrating Nightwing for DC Rebirth, helping shape Dick Grayson’s resumption of the role and the return of Nightwing’s signature blue and black costume.

Jimenez began working with DC on the publisher’s digital Fringe comic (see “DC Announces Digital 'Fringe' Comic”) and has since gone on to design the current incarnation of Superboy -- Clark and Lois’s son Jon -- for the DC Rebirth titles Superman and Super Sons.

Martinez signed his exclusive in October and has been illustrating Detective Comics, and will be working on the series with James Tynion IV, who himself signed an exclusive with DC in September (see “DC Signs Another Writer to Exclusive Contract”).

DC has signed on a number of exclusive creators over the last several months. Sam Humphries (see “Dc Adds Sam Humphries To Roster With Exclusive Contract”), Robson Rocha (see “DC Expands Talent Pool”), Liam Sharpe (see “Artist Liam Sharp Signs With DC”), Dan Abnett (see “DC's 12th 2016 Exclusive Announcement”), Scott Snyder, and Amanda Conner (see “DC Signs Two Big Exclusive Deals”) have all committed to the company in the past year.
