Bushiroad has shared information on the first Starter Decks and Booster that will coincide with the start of the new season, Future Card Buddyfight X.

Bushiroad released teasers on upcoming releases last week (see “'Future Card Buddyfight' Plans Revealed”), now it released information on Future Card Buddyfight X Starter Deck 1 – Demon Lord Dragon of Tempest, Starter Deck 2 – Dragon Fielder and Booster 1 – The Dark Lord’s Rebirth, which all release on April 21.  With the new season comes changes to Secret packs, Buddy Rares, and Specials.

Future Card Buddyfight X Starter Deck 1 – Demon Lord Dragon of Tempest includes Gao Mikado’s Dragon World deck. It includes a 52-card deck with 17 types of cards (14 new types, 2 reprints, 1 flag) and includes two foil cards. The deck also comes with a life counter, rule sheet and playmat.

Future Card Buddyfight X Starter Deck 2 – Dragon Fielder is a Star Dragon World deck used by a new character in the animation. It will introduce a new class of monster and boast the highest defense monsters in the history of Buddyfight. It includes a 52-card deck with 17 types of cards (14 new types, 2 reprints, 1 flag) and includes two foil cards. The deck also comes with a life counter, rule sheet and playmat.

The Dark Lord’s Rebirth Booster set includes cards used by new characters in the latest animation season. It also includes cards used in the final episodes of the Triple D animation arc. The 5-card packs are primarily for Dragon World, Star Dragon World, Katana World, Ancient World, and Dual World. There are 122 types of cards (plus an unknown number of SECRET cards) with a breakdown of 3 / SP: 6 / RRR：8 / RR：12 / R：33 / U：30 / C：30. Some cards are reprints. Every pack includes at least one R or above card. One SECRET pack is sealed in every display. Parallel foil versions of commons, uncommons, and rares are randomly inserted in packs.

In addition to the SECRET packs being included one per display, BR and SP cards will now appear in different packs randomly, though it is not guaranteed that BR and SP card will be included in every display. All Buddy Rares will be reintroduced using new technological techniques. Special cards, which feature alternate art work, will also be reborn for the new season, to appeal to card collectors as much as players. SPs will now be unified as Secret Flags.

Bushiroad is also releasing a set of limited edition monster cards for players to take part in the Start Dash Campaign. Every purchase of both start decks entitles the customer to a set of PR cards – one from Drgon World, one from Star Dragon World.  All Official Bushiroad stores that apply for the Future Card Buddyfight April Shop Tournament will receive 12 sets of the cards.
