Created by Scott Caputo (Voluspa, Kachina), Whistle Stop is a variation on the “pick up and deliver” style of railroad game. Set in the late 1800s, the players are the operators of small railroad companies caught up in the rush to expand across the American West. They build tracks linking a network of whistle stops and cities together, then pick up cargo to deliver to the growing towns of the West. They must choose whether to make short runs for quick payout, or risk longer runs for higher rewards.
Whistle Stop includes 1 game board, 5 player boards, 25 wooden trains, 140 tokens, 8 tiles, 65 wooden markers, 30 railroad shares, and 12 upgrade cards. The game is intended for 2 to 5 players, and takes about an hour. MSRP is $59.95.'Whistle Stop' from Bezier Games
