Like the first teaser (see “First Trailer for 'Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets'”) the teaser reveals a kaleidoscopic array of aliens, cityscapes and action. This trailer also introduces threads of the main plot, which will see Valerian and Laureline fighting to protect the intergalactic metropolis of Alpha from destruction.

The movie opens in U.S.  theaters on July 21, distributed by STX Entertainment.

Ultra PRO will produce board games, card games and gaming accessories (see “Ultra Pro Gets 'Valerian' for Board and Card Games, Accessories”). Titan Entertainment will release an ‘Art of’ and ‘Making of’ books for the movie, as well as a novelization. Cinebook, which has been releasing the individual graphic novels in the U.S., will begin releasing new collection Valerian Complete Collection HC Vol 1 in May.
