Universal, Imagine, and PBS affiliate WBGH Boston are jointly developing an animated Curious George TV series for release in early 2006. An animated film is planned for theatrical release November 4, 2004. The film will star the voice of Will Farrell in the role of the Man in the Yellow Hat. The children's books by H.A. and Margret Rey have been consistent sellers for years, and have inspired numerous licensed products. But with this kind of media exposure, the property will undoubtedly become a more potent licensing force for next year and beyond.
