Mythic Games will release Time of Legends: Joan of Arc a narrative battle game set during a mythic version of the Hundred Years’ War. The miniatures-heavy game is currently seeking funding on Kickstarter, and has raised more than $1 million dollars.

Time of Legends: Joan of Arc is a narrative battle game set in a mythic world of knights, angels, heroes, demons and dragons. The game is set during the Hundred Years’ War in France, but the foes players face will be both real and fantastical. Some scenarios in the game are purely historical, while others involve confrontations of supernatural or demonic adversaries. Players can command the French Army, the English Army, the Holy Army, or the Unholy Army; or a combination of the historic and mythic factions. Players can engage in scenario or battle mode play. The game is for 2 – 4 players, ages 14 and up, and plays in 45 – 90 minutes.

There are multiple optional buys available on the Kickstarter, which include a compendium, a siege pack, a village pack that adds more scenery and more miniatures.

The campaign has raised over $1.1 M from almost 6,000 backers as of this writing, and will continue through Friday November 10. Fulfillment is planned for December 2018. There is no retailer level.

Mythic Games told ICv2 they plan to release a lighter version core box at $50.00 to trade after fulfillment, as well as several small expansions. They may also release retail exclusive expansions, but plans are still in flux until the Kickstarter ends.

Mythic Games partnered with Monolith Games for Mythic Battles: Pantheon, a project which raised $2,669,009 from 13,635 ($195.75 / backer average) on Kickstarter in 2016  (see “Mythic Games' 'Mythic Battles' Reborn as 'Mythic Battles: Pantheon'”). According to the Kickstarter, backers should begin receiving their games in November.
