BOOM! Studios and Saban Brands announced Power Rangers: Shattered Grid, the first comic book crossover event in the franchise’s 25 year history.

The event will launch on March 21 in Mighty Morphin Power Rangers #25, by Kyle Higgins and Daniele Di Nicuolo. The six covers for issue #5 will be illustrated by Goni Montes, and sealed in a black polybag to avoid spoilers. Each cover will be randomly assorted in equal quantities, and will show Drakkon holding one of the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers’ helmets. A special chase variant by Montes will also be mixed randomly among the polybagged comics. Additional variants (not polybagged) by Humberto Ramos, Jordan Gibson, and Scott Koblish will be available.

The story will be picked up in Go Go Power Rangers #9 in April, written by Ryan Parrott; and also appear in two one-shots.

The story will see Lord Drakkon, the alternate-reality version of Tommy Oliver / Green Ranger and his new army crossing dimensions to destroy every Power Ranger ever. The Mighty Morphin Power Rangers will have to join forces with other Ranger teams to stop the threat.

BOOM! will also be releasing a oversized commemorative hardcover art book celebrating 25 years of Saban’s Power Rangers in March (see “It's Morphin Time”).
