The miniseries will take a look at iconic events in DC’s mythology through the perspectives of superheroes who come from historically disenfranchised groups. It focuses on the lives of characters such as John Stewart, Extrano, Vixen, Supergirl, Katana, and Rene Montoya and how they overcome real-world issues from the comics page.
Ridley will reveal more details about the project during a panel at the DC in D.C. pop culture event. Entitled “The Many Shades of Heroism: DC Heroes Through the African-American Lens,” the event will be livestreamed on the DC YouTube channel at 11:00 a.m. ET on Saturday, January 13.
