Ares Games, which recently released the mythological  racing and betting game Divinity Derby, is offering US retailers a chance to participate in demo events to be held on Saturday, February 10.

Areas will send participating stores a demo copy of Divinity Derby as well as five copies of the Cthulhu and Flying Spaghetti Monster promo sets. Each set includes 2 sets of cards and tokens to add the new gods to the game. Stores must sign up with Areas Games’ Convention and Retail Coordinator Isabella Long by January 31. Participating stores’ event information will be shared next week on Ares’ website.

Divinity Derby is designed by Carlo A. Rossi (Alchemist, Dungeon Time). The racing and betting features a unique cooperative mechanic, each player plays cards from two hands, each of which are shared with another player. Players must decide if they will cooperate with one neighbor or the other, or both, to manipulate the racers in the most favorable way (see “Bet with the Gods in 'Divinity Derby'”).
