Valiant Entertainment in venturing into the growing all-ages comic scene with Valiant High, an new miniseries launching on May 30.

The four-issue Valiant High will be written by Daniel Kibblesmith (Quantum and Woody!, The Doorman), with interior art by Derek Charm (Jughead, Star Wars Adventures). The main cover for issue #1 will be provided by David Lafuente with a variant by Sina Grace. The cover for issue #2 will be provided by Lafuente with a variant by Dan Parent.

Valiant High will be a humorous reimaging of Valiant’s superhero universe characters as a high school ensemble – with Aric “X-O Manowar” Dacia as a football star, Colin “Ninjak” King as a suave foreign exchange student, Bloodshot as the hot-headed gym coach, and Amanda “Livewire” Mckee and Faith “Zephyr” Herbert as the new students. Valiant High is a super-powered preparatory academy where (super) power trumps popularity. Expect new incarnations of nearly every Valiant hero and villain to make an appearance.

Like certain Archie Comics, DC Super Hero Girls titles, and Marvel Super Hero Adventures, this story takes place outside of Valiant’s standard continuity.
