In Batman Ninja, Batman takes a journey across the ages after Gorilla Grodd’s time displacement machine transports Batman, a few of his allies, and several of his enemies to feudal Japan. Batman soon runs short of high-tech weaponry and must rely on his wits and allies to restore order and return to modern-day Gotham City.
Three well-regarded anime artists collaborated on the visually stunning feature-length project for Warner Bros. Japan: director Jumpei Mizusaki (opening animation of JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure), writer Kazuki Nakashima (Gurren Lagann), and character designer Takashi Okazaki (Afro Samurai). The release is in partnership with DC Entertainment and Warner Bros. Home Entertainment.The English-language version was reinterpreted and rewritten by screenwriters Leo Chu and Eric Garcia (Supah Ninjas, Afro Samurai). Viewers will also hear some familiar voices, with Roger Craig Smith (Batman: Arkham Origins) and Tony Hale (Veep, Arrested Development) leading the English-language cast as the voices of Batman and the Joker, respectively.
