The first of three volumes, the 64-page softcover Signal of Screams begins with a vacation on New Elysium, at a resort on an asteroid in the Diaspora. However, things go sideways quickly when the facilities malfunction and most of the sentient staff (both guests and staff) turn violent and mutate. The heroes must aid other guests not rendered insane, because they may be the key to finding a cure for the affliction. Players will have to find the source of the mystical signal that is corrupting both minds and bodies all around them. The book also includes advice on running horror campaigns, a selection creepy monsters, and way to model forms of corruption of the soul. MSRP is $22.99.
