Gizmos is an inventing game designed by Phil Walker-Harding (Sushi Go! Imhotep, Cacao). Players are contestants at the Great Science Fair, working on their contraptions under pressure, using four types of colored energy from the 3D marble dispenser. They can use the energy to purchase and construct new additions to their work, and new attachments can trigger chain reactions that allow for more things to happen on their turn. Build the most impressive machine, and collect the most victory points, and be named the winner. The game is for 2 – 4 players, ages 14 and up, and plays in 40 – 50 minutes. MSRP is $34.99. Release is planned for August 31.
Sugar Blast, designed by Matthew O’Malley and Benjamin Rosset, is the 3D equivalent of popular chain reaction mobile puzzle games where player swap two adjacent candies to make a string of three or more of the same type. When those matching candies are removed, the unique titling board will slide candies from the top to fill the missing spaces. Then the player fills in the candies at the top of the board with randomly chosen new ones from the bag. Players race to complete Objective cards to win sweet, sweet victory. The game is for 2 – 4 players, ages 8 and up, and plays in 30 minutes. MSRP is $49.99. Release is planned for October 26.
