Creator Matt Wagner, in association with Dark Horse Comics and Arsenal Entertainment, has optioned Grendel to the Warner Brothers Pictures-based John Wells Productions, according to The Hollywood Reporter.  Carl Lund has been named as the screenwriter to adapt Grendel for the movie.

 

Grendel joins another Wagner creation, Mage, which was optioned to be adapted by Disney in 2002 (see 'Disney Greenlights Mage').
